This is a nice general book for LDS folks who want to see historic sites, but it is a bit out of date. The site information is on the whole still OK but the information of lodging and dining is no longer current. Some of the businesses are no longer operating, newer ones are naturally not listed, and the pricing if obsolete.
I had the author's other travel guide to Nauvoo. I expected her book about Sharon, Palmyra, and Kirtland to be just as helpful, and it is. This book has information about restaurants, hotels, and historic sites. It also includes a general history of the areas and of the LDS church's early period in general. Looking forward to our trip, and this book will make it even better!
